Nullstream Links

Nullstream Site

August 27, 2005 10:51 PM PST

Haven't you ever wanted to know what sites those Null boys are linking to? Now you can. We've setup a Nullstream account on del.icio.us that you can view here. This link is also available on the nav bar along with a handy RSS feed for the reader of your choice. Enjoy.

(Disclaimer, I'm only taking credit for links I've prefixed with my name. Most will be full of Geeky content I'm sure. I can't vouch for the other guys).

So, being an old school web 1.0 guy, how do I add links? The thing about del.icio.us is that there are so many things to click on I usually just leave. Which is exactly my reaction to anything from Yahoo/MSN.

There's a "bookmarklet" for del.icio.us that's a simple JavaScript that runs when you select it. Basically it takes the current URL of whatever page you're on, opens the "add bookmark" page for del.icio.us, and pre-populates the url field with that URL.

Also... we realize the site's been super slow to post comments. It's nothing we've done structurally that would make it slower lately, but probably some throttling the ISP is doing on CPU usage. I've got an idea of how to speed it up quite a bit, but just haven't had the chance to implement it yet.

All links will be marked with the nofollow tag, making them useless for search rankings. Any posts containing spam URLs will then be deleted.
